Care tips for first use

Wash the teapot with warm water and soap and dry it with a clean tea towel. Before brewing tea, rinse the teapot with boiling water.

Cleaning

The interior of these teapots is enamelled and can be cleaned with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents. Possible dark spots on the inside of the teapot are caused by tea residue and do not affect your health. Over time, the interior will become completely dark brown. The tea residue enhances the flavour.

Rust

Cast iron teapots may develop rust, usually around the lid and spout. To prevent rust, you can lightly oil the exterior and the rim of the teapot with a lightly oiled cloth, for example with (olive) oil. Do not use oil on the interior. Store the teapot without the lid to prevent rust, or place a paper towel between the lid and the teapot.
