Care tips for first use
Wash the teapot with warm water and mild soap, then dry thoroughly with a clean cloth. Rinse with boiling water before brewing tea.

Cleaning
The interior is enamelled and can be cleaned with a soft cloth. Do not use harsh cleaning agents. Possible dark spots inside the teapot are caused by tea residue and are harmless to your health. Over time the interior may turn a rich brown — the tea residue contributes to flavour.

Rust prevention
Cast iron teapots may develop rust, often around the lid or spout. To reduce this, lightly rub the exterior and rim with a cloth lightly moistened with oil (e.g. olive oil). Do not apply oil to the interior. Store the teapot without its lid, or place a paper cloth between the lid and pot to avoid moisture buildup.
