Care instructions before first use
Wash the teapot with warm water and mild soap, then dry with a clean cloth. Rinse the teapot with boiling water before making tea.

Cleaning
The inside of this teapot is enamelled and can be cleaned with a soft cloth. Do not use harsh cleaning agents. Dark spots on the inside are caused by tea deposits and are harmless. Over time, the interior will turn completely dark brown. This patina enhances the flavour.

Rust
Cast iron teapots may develop rust, usually around the lid or spout. To prevent this, you can rub the outside and rim with a lightly oiled cloth (e.g. olive oil). Do not use oil on the inside. Store the teapot without the lid, or place a paper towel between lid and pot to prevent rust.
